Aroa Palomo
Born in Granada in 1991, Aroa Palomo Navarro has been immersed in the world of flamenco since childhood. At the age of 4 she took part in the filming of a documentary for Canal Sur Televisión, directed by Miguel Burgos “El Cele”, which showcased the traditional cantes (songs) of Granada.
She began training at Eva Esquivel’s Flamenco Dance School at the age of six, where, as well as perfecting her dancing, she began to stand out as a singer, mastering the different flamenco palos (styles). Throughout her career she has trained with leading masters such as Juan Pinilla, David Sorroche and Fernando Rodríguez.
Over the years, Aroa has performed at many flamenco festivals and competitions across Spain and Europe, sharing the stage with great figures such as José Mercé, Juan Peña “El Lebrijano” and Arcángel. She was a member of the Madrid flamenco company “Estuaria” and has worked with renowned companies such as those of Tatiana Garrido and Fuensanta “La Moneta”.
Her talent has been recognised with several awards, including 1st prize and the Uva de Plata (Silver Grape) at the Ciudad de Jumilla Flamenco Singing Competition in 2008, and 2nd prize at the Ardales (Málaga) Flamenco Singing Competition in 2009, among others.
Aroa Palomo Navarro continues to captivate audiences with her powerful voice and deep knowledge of flamenco, leaving a lasting mark on the world of Spanish music.
