Rafa Rodríguez
Rafael Rodríguez Carmona was born in Santa Fe, Granada. Flamenco has been an essential part of his life since he was a child. He fondly remembers how he began singing at family gatherings, where his passion for this art first blossomed.
His talent soon led him to perform at private parties and peñas (flamenco clubs), where he refined his style and technique. His career also includes time in a rumba group, which broadened his musical experience and allowed him to explore different rhythms and styles within flamenco.
Throughout his career, Rafael has been fortunate to meet and share moments with great flamenco figures such as Parrita, Duende, Dieguito de Morón and Morenito de Íllora, among others. These experiences have been key to his development as an artist and have given him valuable lessons and memories.
After establishing himself at peñas and private events, Rafael began performing at Granada’s flamenco tablaos, a crucial stage for any flamenco artist. He continues to delight audiences at these tablaos, as well as at private parties and peñas, and also plays gigs, keeping an active and varied schedule.
Rafael is working on a very special project that will be released soon. He is putting great enthusiasm and love into this new venture, and hopes audiences will welcome it with the same excitement.
